Chest Pain Center

The Chest Pain Center provides prompt and appropriate emergency care for anyone experiencing the symptoms of a heart attack.  Even though early heart attack symptoms may be mild and seem like indigestion, patients still need to seek help immediately.  Located in the hospital's emergency department, the Chest Pain Center ensures that anyone experiencing chest pain or other symptoms of a heart attack is seen immediately.

Don't Delay.  Act Quickly.

Time is critical when treating a heart attack.  Treatment within the first hour after symptoms start offers the best opportunity to prevent muscle damage.  The Chest Pain Center brings together the skills and resources of the emergency department with those of coronary (heart) care to provide immediate attention.

Sometimes heart attacks don't hurt as much as they should.  With mild discomfort in the center of the chest, some patients don't seek medical advice.  Unfortunately, some of those people die before they reach the hospital.

All Heart Attacks Are Not Created Equal.

Heart attacks come in different shapes and sizes.  In most cases, warning signs tell us that heart-muscle damage or death is impending.  Our Early Heart Attack Care (EHAC) training teaches recognition of those symptoms and what to do when they occur.
