Food Services

Since 1992, Gulf Coast Enterprises has provided award-winning full-food and mess attendant services to the United States Navy, United States Air Force, United States Army, United States Coast Guard, The Armed Forces Retirement Home(s) and the United States Air Force Reserve. Our performance on these contracts has not only resulted in numerous awards and accolades, but has also provided GCE with the means to accomplish its primary mission: providing employment opportunities to persons with significant disabilities. GCE currently operates food service operations at 26 facilities in seven states and the District of Columbia, employing more than 600 persons with disabilities. Currently serving in excess of 10,000,000 meals per year, GCE has extensive experience in single, multiple-building and base-wide food service operations.

Healthcare Food Services

Armed Forces Retirement Home-Gulfport, MS - (May 1, 1992 - Present)
Responsible for full-food services at the premier retirement home for military veterans. Services provided include cooking, baking, salad preparation, food serving and cleanliness of facility.

  • Serves over 547,500 meals per year (ambulatory, non-ambulatory, assisted dining, and long term care)

Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, DC - (Jan 1, 2005- Present)
Responsible for full-food services at the premier retirement home for military veterans. Services provided include cooking, baking, salad preparation, food serving and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Serving over 876,000 meals per year at two dining facilities (Ambulatory, non-ambulatory, assisted dining, and long term care
  • GCE was awarded this contract in a streamlined A-76 competition as allowed via the SourceAmerica program

Lakeview Center Food Services, Pensacola, FL (January 2012 – Present)
Services provided include cooking, baking, salad preparation, food serving and cleanliness of the facility.

  • Serving over 167,000 meals per year for residents and staff and delivery of daily meals to 25-30 in house residents.

West Florida Community Care Center, Milton, FL (January 2012 – Present)
Services provided include cooking, baking, salad preparation, food serving and cleanliness of the facility.

  • Serving over 79,500 meals per year for residents

Military Food Services

Eglin Air Force Base, Ft. Walton, FL - (October 1, 1999 - Present)
Responsible for food attendant services with contingency cooking, baking, and salad making at three dining facilities.

  • Serving over 584,000 meals per year
  • 'Best in Command' (four straight years)
  • John Hennessy Award as 'Best Food Service in the Air Force' (2003, 2006 and 2009)

U.S. Coast Guard, Air Station Clearwater, FL - (October 1, 1998 - Present)
Responsible for food attendant services.

  • Serving over 109,500 meals per year
  • Recognized by IFSEA as U.S. Coast Guard 'Best Food Service, Large-Ashore' (2001, 2004, and 2007 and Runner up 2003 and 2008)

Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL - (June 1, 2000- Present)
Responsible for full-food service at three dining facilities that comprise the Pensacola regional U.S. Navy contract.
  • Serving over 1,314,000 meals per year
  • Recognized as an Edward F. Ney (Best Food Service in the Navy) winner 2010 and received a '5-Star' Accreditation in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010

Duke Field, US Air Force Reserve, Crestview, FL - (October 1, 2000 - Present)
Responsible for food attendant services with contingency cooking, baking, and salad making.
  • Serving over 1500 meals on one weekend per month
  • Recognized as the John Hennessy Award winner for USAFR (2002, 2003, 2005 and 2009)

US NAVY Explosive Ordinance Disposal School, Niceville, FL - (October 1, 2002 - Present) Responsible for full-food services. Provide service to Navy, Army, Air Force and members of foreign countries assigned to training at EOD.
  • Serving over 195,000 meals per year at the Explosive, Ordinance Disposal School.

Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, MS - (Oct 1, 2005 - Present)
Responsible for food attendant services.
  • Serving over 896,000 meals per year
  • Recognized as the Edward F. Ney (Best in the Navy) Five Star operation in 2009 and 2010

Naval Submarine Base, Groton, CT - (April 1, 2009 – Present)
Responsible for food attendant services.
  • Serving over 547,000 meals per year
  • Recognized as the Edward F. Ney (Best Food Service in the Navy) Five Star operation in 2010

Naval Station, Newport, RI - (April 1, 2009 - Present)
Responsible for food attendant services.
