What is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)? An EAP is an employer-sponsored, workplace-focused program for employees, managers, supervisors and organizations.  It is aimed at improving workforce performance and productivity. An EAP provides confidential professional assistance for employees whose personal problems have seriously affected their job performance. An EAP gives supervisors a tool for dealing with employees whose personal situations have affected their productivity. An EAP demonstrates an employer's concern for the workforce. What Service Does It Provide? Up to three sessions with a licensed counselor from the Center for Personal & Family Development of Lakeview Referral, if appropriate, to community resources Employee orientation to the program and a reference brochure Supervisor orientation with an instructional component and a brochure for a reference Ongoing educational classes and seminars Informational cards for new employees Wellness cards for paychecks Who's Covered?
